Johnson County, Kan., Emergency Communications Department Purchases Computer Aided Dispatch System
System to automate delivery of 9-1-1 dispatchers' instructions to fire department personnel
The Emergency Communications Department of Johnson County, Kan., contracted with Locution Systems Inc. for the company to provide its CADVoice fire station alerting system and automated, natural voice dispatching technology to the county department. Johnson County covers the cities of Kansas City, Kan., Overland Park, Olathe and more.
CADVoice will be used in 38 fire stations throughout Johnson County's public-safety network. It will help 911 dispatchers automatically relay dispatches for fire and medical emergencies to fire stations throughout the county.
