New Phoenix Area Emergency Notification Plan

PHOENIX -- Maricopa Region citizens are now able to receive IntelliCast Target Notification, Intrado's high-speed, high-accuracy emergency telephone notification service. The service will become part of a suite of emergency management alert tools for use in crisis situations.

According to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), 97.9 percent of the United States population can be reached by wireline telephone, making this method far more comprehensive than other emergency notification alternatives.
