Massachusetts State Police at Logan Airport Implement Wireless Devices

Boston-area investigators gain ID validation system.

EAST BOSTON, Mass. -- The Massachusetts State Police, including the Anti-Terrorism Unit and other investigative units stationed at Logan International Airport, has signed a new contract with LocatePLUS Holdings for its AnyWhere RIM BlackBerry wireless product.

AnyWhere supplies a fully integrated wireless handheld data query and messaging system that delivers on-demand access to the company's proprietary investigative database.

Massachusetts State Police Lt. Thomas Coffey stated, "Our intelligence units can use the AnyWhere BlackBerry device while patrolling the Logan campus in order to identify owners of suspicious vehicles or validate a person's identity within seconds. Access to comprehensive, on-demand identity validation systems provided by LocatePLUS empowers us to further protect the commonwealth of Massachusetts."
