New Pa. Web Site for Sheriffs' Association

"We want to keep Pennsylvanians informed of the latest trends in law enforcement and give them helpful information about staying safe and ways to avoid becoming a victim."

The Pennsylvania Sheriffs' Association has launched a redesigned Web site that will allow citizens to keep informed of law enforcement issues affecting their county sheriffs' offices. The new Web site offers easy navigation and archived articles.

The site is a vital part of the organization and provides a database of all sheriffs and their contact information. The Web content also includes detailed information concerning membership, updates and photos of recent events held by the association. The Web address of the site is http://www.pasheriffs.org/.

"The new Web site will allow the Pennsylvania Sheriffs' Association to better communicate with the public and with its members," said Jim Hazen, Executive Director. "We want to keep Pennsylvanians informed of the latest trends in law enforcement and give them helpful information about staying safe and ways to avoid becoming a victim."

The Pa. Sheriffs' Association, started in 1923, currently has about 17,500 members plus the 67 sheriffs across the Commonwealth. The mission of the association is to keep sheriffs in Pennsylvania informed of the latest law enforcement techniques through its continuing education programs and keep sheriffs abreast of legislation that affects the justice system.
