What would a worldwide subway system look like?

Answer: like the World Metro Map

Gerardo Cid, a designer with ArtCodeData, is leading a project to create the World Metro Map, a representation of what it would look like if all the world's underground train systems were connected. The map now includes 214 subway systems, 791 lines and 11,924 stations. The team continues to add more as the project advances to completion.

As of Jan. 19, 715 backers had contributed nearly $40,000 to the project.
