Dymka, a gray cat from Siberia, lost all four of her limbs to frostbite. However, thanks to 3-D printing technology, she’s now prancing around on a new set of artificial limbs.

Dymka is only the second cat in the world to have this procedure done. First, a team of veterinarians and researchers at the Tomsk Polytechnic University conducted CT scans of what remained of Dymka’s legs. They then used those scans to design an artificial limb to fit each leg. The limbs were 3-D printed as titanium rods. The rods are implanted in Dymka’s legs, where they've adhered to her bones. They're coated in calcium phosphate in order to prevent infections.

Dymka's procedure took place in July of last year, and she has been living her best life on her new legs ever since.
