Amazon Prime will stream 21 Yankees games in which states?

Answer: Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Amazon is looking to get a leg up in the next big frontier in the streaming wars: sports. Per a Tuesday press release, the e-commerce giant’s streaming arm, Amazon Prime, will be showing 21 New York Yankees baseball games this upcoming season.

The games will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime, meaning any coverage from national broadcasters will be blacked out in Connecticut, New York, northeast Pennsylvania, and north and central New Jersey. Subscribers to Amazon Prime, however, can rejoice, as they will be able to access Prime’s streams for free.

Amazon already has some streaming rights to other sports both in the U.S. and internationally. Thursday Night Football in the NFL is available on the platform, as are Premier League soccer matches in the UK and UEFA Champions League soccer tournament matches in Germany.
