Can you clean your iPhone with a Clorox wipe?

Answer: Yes.

You probably didn’t know that disinfecting your iPhone would be as easy as wiping down the kitchen counter. But it’s true.

Amid a worldwide increase in cases of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, Apple has released some guidelines on how to properly disinfect its everyday tech gadgets. The information, posted to the company’s support web page, states that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes or other 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipes may be used to “gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces” of its devices.

The company’s guidelines warn not to allow any moisture to seep into any openings — so you can wipe your keyboard with a Clorox wipe, but be extra careful that nothing gets in between the keys. Apple also cautions against using bleach to clean your devices.
