Honda detected the intrusion on Monday on its internal servers in Tokyo. While details are scarce, the virus is believed to be the Snake ransomware.

The attack had a global impact on Honda’s business, as it affected email and other important systems in many of the company’s locations around the world. Those locations were shuttered on Monday and the employees sent home while Honda worked to get its systems back online. Engadget reports that as of Tuesday, all affected locations were operational again with the exception of car plants in Ohio and Turkey as well as motorcycle factories in Brazil and India.

Honda reports there is no evidence that the sensitive information of its employees or customers was exposed.
