Waymo and Walmart want to make what chore easier?

Answer: Grocery shopping.

The two companies announced July 25 that they will be partnering on an initiative to make grocery shopping less of a hassle, Engadget reports. Beginning later this week, customers in Phoenix will be able to select all their groceries online at Walmart.com and get a round-trip ride in a Waymo car to pick up their order. They’ll also receive discounts on their purchases.

There will be a couple of other services launching through the partnership as well. Waymo vehicles will serve as shuttles for customers renting cars with Avis Budget Group. AutoNation, a local business chain, will soon offer Waymo cars as loaners for customers. And in neighboring city Chandler, frequent “select guests” at the Element Hotel will be shuttled between the hotel and office in a Waymo vehicle.
