The Slidewheel is an amusement park ride that combines which two classic attractions?

Answer: A waterslide and a Ferris wheel.

In an innovative feat of engineering, an attraction company in Germany called wiegand.maelzer GmbH has taken the idea of innovative waterslides to new heights by merging one with a Ferris wheel (get it, because Ferris wheels are tall?).

Called the Slidewheel, their creation is one long water slide that looks like its been twisted into a knot and then mounted on a Ferris wheel. It turns at a rate of about three revolutions per minute and takes three riders at a time. The ride lasts for two minutes and the rafts can get going as fast as 25 mph.

For those of you without an engineering degree, here’s a video to help you wrap your head around just what is going on within this attraction.
