The new motorway in Wenling, China, was built around a half-demolished building because a family that lives there refused to move: Luo Baogen and his wife are the only remaining residents left in the apartment building -- all neighbors have left, accepting monetary compensation from the goverment to do so. Baogen and his wife did not agree to the settlement offered, according to The Independent.
The road paved through Wenling's Xiazhangyang village, which leads to the Wenling railway station, is not yet officially open.
