How did a robot send 24 Amazon workers to the hospital?

Answer: By accidentally bear-spraying them.

The incident occurred Wednesday at Amazon’s warehouse in Robbinsville, N.J. Twenty-four workers were taken to the hospital, one of whom was in critical condition. Another 30 were treated on-site by first responders. All of the hospitalized workers were expected to be released by Thursday evening.

While a preliminary investigation stated that a 9-ounce can of bear repellent fell off of a shelf, causing the dispersal, it was later revealed that the can had actually been punctured by one of the facility’s automated machines. Amazon has initiated a full investigation into the incident, and the contaminated area has been given the all-clear.
