Unless you’re a social media influencer, all your awesome tweets are probably going out onto the Internet for free. But if you’re not, and if you’ve ever thought that sometimes you wish people would pay for your tweets, then you’re in luck.

Twitter announced Thursday that it will be introducing a subscription service called Super Follow. The feature, which has been likened by the Internet masses to “Patreon but on Twitter,” will allow accounts to charge followers for “exclusive content.” For $4.99 a month, the subscription comes with “subscriber-only newsletters,” “community access,” a “supporter badge” and more.

“Exploring audience funding opportunities like Super Follows will allow creators and publishers to be directly supported by their audience and will incentivize them to continue creating content that their audience loves,” said a Twitter spokesperson. While the company has yet to reveal how and when the feature will roll out, the spokesperson said they will “have more to share in the coming months.”
