It would seem that adorable cats are not the only thing that Zoom users can be unwittingly turned into on a call.

The House Committee on Financial Services met virtually Wednesday to discuss the latest pandemic relief package. However, when it came time for Rep. Tom Emmer, R-Minn., he appeared not as himself, or a cat, but an upside-down, disembodied floating head. After a few minutes of trying to resolve the issue, during which one lawmaker interjected that “at least he’s not a cat” and another said he was “going viral,” Rep. Emmer managed to flip his head right-side up and reattach it to his body.

He later joked about the incident on Twitter, referencing Texas lawyer Rod Ponton’s similar cat-filter experience with a screenshot of his upside-down head and captioning it “I am not a cat.”
