What is Lyft giving EV renters for free in Denver?

Answer: Vehicle charging.

Lyft is encouraging its Denver drivers to go electric with a new incentive through its rental program. Through Express Drive, drivers for the company can pay a weekly fee to rent a vehicle to drive for the service. If they’re in Denver and pick an electric car, Lyft is throwing in free charging as well.

This is possible thanks to a partnership with Electrify America, which operates seven charging stations in the area. As more electric vehicles become available through Express Drive, the companies plan to continue working together to bring this service to other cities.

“We can't have an impact without providing our drivers with fast, convenient access to charging, which is why we are thrilled to be working with Electrify America,” said Lyft Vice President for Fleet and Global Operations Cal Lankton in a statement.
