Texas Gov. Perry Signs Voting Systems Bill Into Law
Requires public hearing prior to voting system approval
On June 9, Gov. Perry signed HB No. 2465, regarding the approval of voting systems and equipment. The bill requires a public hearing before approval of voting systems. The Secretary of State will consider examiners' reports as well as views expressed at the public hearing before determining if the system or equipment meet requirements for approval.
