Wyoming Signs $27.8 Million Medicaid MIS Contract Extension

"A user-friendly, data-driven and cost-effective Medicaid program."

The Wyoming Department of Health, Office of Medicaid earlier this month announced a 3-year, $27.8 million contract extension with Affiliated Computer Services Inc., which continues fiscal agent responsibilities and services for the operations and enhancement of the Wyoming Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) through June 2008.

"ACS is truly a partner with the State of Wyoming in administering a user-friendly, data-driven and cost-effective Medicaid program," said Iris Oleske, State Medicaid Officer for Wyoming. "We are pleased to be able to continue this relationship for another three years."

ACS has enjoyed a 12-year relationship with the state of Wyoming and is presently the fiscal agent, operating the state's MMIS. In addition to regular fiscal agent operations, ACS also administers provider relations, medical policy, all third-party liability functions, including drug rebate, Medicare buy-in, and estate recovery, as well as a transportation call center that processes funds for administrative and emergency travel services for Medicaid clients.
