Cloakware Corporation, a leading provider of software protection products and services is providing a security solution for Microsoft Windows Media Digital Rights Management (DRM) 10 for consumer electronic device manufacturers. Cloakware will offer an easy-to-use suite of security components that accelerate product time-to-market and reduce development costs for device manufacturers looking to support Windows Media DRM 10.
"Windows Media DRM 10 is designed to enable the protection, delivery and playback of a la carte, subscription and promotional digital media content on a wide range of devices," said Erin Cullen, lead product manager in the Windows Digital Media Division at Microsoft Corp. "As a security solution provider for Windows Media DRM 10, Cloakware enables device manufacturers we are working with to more rapidly bring their products to market."
Cloakware said its product takes protection against hacker attacks to higher levels than are currently available, and frees developers from trying to design their own protection.
"We take security right to the application," Cloakware's chief executive Waxman said. "It's more than a picket fence or house burglar alarm. We put the alarm right on the safe in the bedroom wall."
