(TNS) — Ann Arbor officials are inviting community members who want to learn more about the city’s new carbon-neutrality plan to tune in for a virtual meeting.

The city’s sustainability office is hosting an online question-and-answer session from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, following a similar one held last week.

The $1 billion A2Zero plan presented last week lays out a strategy for powering the entire community with 100% renewable energy, undertaking solar projects, shifting to electric vehicles and appliances, ceasing use of gas, expanding transit services, getting community members to drive significantly less, and offsetting any remaining emissions.

City officials ask community members to use this online form to register for login details for Wednesday’s session and use it to submit questions about the plan to combat climate change.

Missy Stults, the city’s sustainability manager, said the city will be putting together a written document after the Q&A that answers some of the most common questions.
