NASCIO Presents Recognition Award Webinars

January 15, 2007 By

NASCIO will host a series of webinars presented by the 2006 recipients of NASCIO's Recognition Awards for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of State Information Technology. NASCIO's Recognition Awards program is designed to highlight innovative initiatives and best practices in state government IT. For 2006, 12 projects were selected in 10 distinct categories. These award-winning programs are featured in NASCIO's 2006 Compendium of Recognition Awards.

This series of webinars will introduce a wide range of projects that help support the public policy goals of state leaders, assist government officials to execute their duties, provide cost-effective services to citizens and, most of all, exemplify best practices. Each of the projects honored with a 2006 NASCIO Recognition Award will be presented by a member of the team that helped implement the innovative solution.

The Recognition Awards Best Practices Webinars will take place on the third Tuesday of the month at 2:00 pm ET (1:00 pm CT, 12:00 pm MT and 11:00 am PT). Two projects will be shared on each of the hour-long calls. The programs will include:
  • January 16, 2007 -- Michigan's Innovative Fraud Detection Project and Kentucky Mutual Aid and Interoperability.
  • February 20, 2007 -- Michigan's Project Management and Governance Model and Arizona 2-1-1.
  • March 20, 2007 -- Pennsylvania's Global XML 3.0 Document Creation Process and Michigan E-Mail Consolidation Project.
