Minnesota to add 200 MIPS capacity

Purchase will take place in FY 2005

The Intertechnologies group within the Minnesota Department of Administration will add 200 million instructions per second of capacity to their computing platforms in fiscal year 2005 (fiscal year 2005 will begin in July 2004). The group expects to spend $500,000 for the additional capacity.

The Intertechnologies group provides computing services for the state's child support program, welfare eligibility process, welfare benefits program, statewide accounting system, state tax return processing and the state's integrated criminal justice system.
