The Technology Services Board of the California Department of Technology Services will hold its third meeting on November 16, 2005 at 10 a.m. in the East End Complex Auditorium at 1500 Capitol Avenue in Sacramento. A

The Board will hear updates on the Department of Technology Services consolidation efforts, the department's budget, the State Information Technology Strategic Plan, and an update on the State Portal Steering Committee activities.
As recommended by the California Performance Review, the Department of Technology Services is a new state department created by the Governor's Reorganization Plan #2 which consolidated the Health and Human Services Agency Data Center, the Stephen P. Teale Data Center and the Department of General Services-Office of Network Services, within the State and Consumer Services Agency.
The Technology Services Board provides governance and guidance to the Department of Technology Services to ensure oversight and customer orientation.
The Board members include a designee of the Governor, as Chair, the Director of Finance, as Vice-Chair, the State Controller, the secretaries of the Department of Food and Agriculture, Business, Transportation and Housing Agency, California Environmental Protection Agency, Health and Human Services Agency, Labor and Workforce Development Agency, Resources Agency, State and Consumer Services Agency, Department of Veterans Affairs, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and the Director of the Governor's Office of Emergency Services.
