As part of the E-Government Services Department, the Customer Call Center takes thousands of calls from citizens each month. The employees answer questions, provide information and route work orders and service requests to the appropriate departments to help residents get the information and service they need as quickly and efficiently as possible. In fact, during the past fiscal year, call representatives handled 96 percent of the 395,000 calls they received with an average wait time of just one minute and 10 seconds. As a result, the City frequently receives comments from citizens complimenting the call center representatives for their professionalism, courtesy and responsiveness.
Corpus Christi City Manager George K. "Skip" Noe will help recognize the City's Customer Call Center Manager Annie Leal and all the employees with the Call Center for the outstanding service they provide to residents by presenting them with the "At Your Service Award." The presentation was made at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006 during the regular City Council meeting in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1201 Leopard Street.
Customer Call Center Manager Annie Leal has been with the City of Corpus Christi for 29 years. Prior to assuming her current duties, she also served for 22 years in the City Manager's office.
The At Your Service Award was established as a way of recognizing City employees who go the extra mile in helping provide excellent service to the citizens of Corpus Christi.
