"I am proud to launch a more user-friendly Web site that facilitates the public's interaction with the Clerk's Office and the Circuit Court system," said Brown.
One of the greatest additions to the site is the translation of Web pages into French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese and Spanish languages. The Polish translation feature is coming soon.
Other highlights include: a new glossary of terms that defines the types of cases handled in the Clerk's Office, a Self-Help Center with information and public resources for people representing themselves in court hearings and a brand new Senior Center page that provides access to information about services that may be of interest to senior citizens.
Links to case information, fee schedules, court forms, up-to-date press releases about the Clerk's Office, downloadable brochures and photos as well as external links to agencies, such as the state of Illinois and law schools are also featured.
"Citizens can save time by accessing important information from any computer; having their frequently asked questions answered immediately and learning at their own pace how to best navigate the court system," said Brown.
