Corpus Christi Libraries Offer New Online Service

Web site to learn about new and notable books

The Corpus Christi Public Libraries are pleased to announce a new online service, "Bookletters", that provides library patrons a fun and easy way to learn about new and notable books in a number of different categories.

BookLetters is a service where visitors register to receive periodic e-mailed newsletters about New York Times bestsellers and other fiction, lifestyle and mystery titles. To register, simply go the library website at www.library.ci.corpus-christi.tx.us, or access the library through the city's website, www.cctexas.com and click on the Library's link under "City Departments."

If you don't have an e-mail account, just go to the Library's website and click on the BookLetters link. The booklists from the newsletters will be available for viewing by clicking on the name of the list you're interested in. For added convenience, booklists are linked directly to the library catalog so that visitors can easily find out whether copies of the books are available. Other fun features of the BookLetters service include award lists, author information and reviews and interviews from the BookPage magazine.
