EC3 Publishes Nine Case Studies in Electronic Commerce

To assist e-government initiatives

The National Electronic Commerce Coordinating Council (NEC3) recently published a white paper containing a dozen examples of e-government projects "that demonstrate the type of business case that will be necessary to be successful." These examples, said the report, "are intended to help organizations in reviewing and planning their respective e-government initiatives." The white paper, titled: Maximizing Revenues and Saving Costs Through E-Government: Success Stories in the Public Sector included:
  • eVA -- The Commonwealth of Virginia's Electronic Procurement System
  • UVic -- the University of Victoria's E-Procurement and E-Commerce Integration
  • The Electronic Express Filing system of the Indiana Department of Revenue
