Elk Grove City Hall Just a Click Away

Residents can now access city services online

The city of Elk Grove, Calif. launched a customer service tool today that will allow residents to access more services on the city's Web site. This new online feature allows citizens to conveniently conduct city of Elk Grove business remotely, during non standard hours and on weekends.

Online services allow residents to pay and view city of Elk Grove utility bills, apply for a new business license and view code enforcement cases. Residents can also schedule a building inspection and view the status of building permits, once their permit has been entered in the city's system.

An online GIS mapping feature allows residents to view the e-tran interactive bus map and search for crime analysis, property information and economic development information. The Elk Grove Police Department's Web site, www.ElkGrovePD.org, offers tools to check traffic conditions, search the Megan's Law database and access an online reporting system.

"The city is constantly seeking ways to improve customer service for Elk Grove residents," said Mayor Rick Soares. "The new feature on the city of Elk Grove's Web site provides residents greater access to city services conveniently and efficiently."
