Oklahoma Re-Signs With NIC for Web Portal Contract

Oklahoma has signed a new contract with e-government firm Oklahoma Interactive, an NIC Inc. company, to manage its official government portalfor up to five years. The contract has an initial term of one year with four, single-year renewal options.

Oklahoma Interactive signed its original multiyear contract with Oklahoma in 2001, to manage the state's portal under the name YourOklahoma.com. In November 2004, YourOklahoma.com was rebranded to OK.gov, Oklahoma's Official Web site, and the portal was designed with a focus on self-service. In 2009, Oklahoma issued a competitive bid for portal services and the contract was awarded again to Oklahoma Interactive.
