IBM to Outsource 3,000 Jobs to Developing Countries

Will add 4,500 jobs in U.S., however

Last week, as reported by internetnews.com, IBM said it would shift 3,000 jobs to developing countries. Although IBM has also stated it would add 4,500 jobs here in the U.S., said the report, IT workers remain wary. Offshore outsourcing has been a contentious issue in the United States, and several states, including Indiana, have proposed bills to ban the practice for government contracting.
