The GITA Director is the Chief Information Officer for the State, a member of the Governor's Cabinet, chair of the Governor's Council on 2-1-1 and the Arizona Health-e Connection Steering Committee and serves on various other councils and committees. The Strategic Relationship Manager will support the Directors' activities by building coalitions necessary to support the missions of the Agency and these committees.
The Strategic Relationship Manager needs to be a strong individual performer but must work collaboratively with the GITA Statewide Projects Manager, the GITA Communication and Outreach Manager and many others. The candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and solid experience/skills with outreach, messaging of strategic initiatives, coalition building, planning, public speaking, presentations/demonstrations, etc. Experience working with local governments is desirable. Experience with community development is a plus.
Some travel within Arizona will be required for face to face meetings and presentations throughout the State. The position is not covered under the state merit system.
