The event, which provides Florida's IT community with an update on the latest IT developments and workshops on critical IT issues, will be co-located with the Florida Government Conference (FGC).
"We are extremely pleased to be able to tie the Tech Forum into the Florida Government Conference," said Rick Kearney, ITFlorida chair. "This will end up providing our Tech Forum participants with a terrific opportunity to extend the reach of their company messaging, networking and learning experience."
The FGC, scheduled September 21-23, is an annual gathering of Florida's government and education leaders and front-line managers with leading suppliers, including those from the technology sector. Registrants for ITFlorida's September Tech Forum will also have access to all FGC activities that day.
Governor Jeb Bush will highlight ITFlorida's Tech Forum by providing a "state of technology in Florida" address during the event's luncheon. In addition, experts from a variety of technology- and business-related fields will also conduct a series of interactive breakout sessions during the day designed to educate attendees about opportunities within the state, as well as key issues that will impact the state's technology future.
Breakout session topics will include: IT Issues of Statewide Impact; How to Win in a Political World; How the Substitute Communications Systems Tax Affects Florida; How to Win Government and Homeland Security Contracts; and a State Term Contract Update-Information Technology, which will focus on contracts for IT hardware, software, consulting services and telecommunications (presented by the FGC).
Registration is required for the Tech Forum. Register by Monday, September 13, to take advantage of the pre-registration discounted fee of $200 for the breakout sessions and luncheon. To register, contact ITFlorida at http://www.itflorida.com or call 1-800-748-1120.
