Kalamazoo, Michigan Updates Technology

Increase services and transaction options for citizens, including new e-government capabilities

The city of Kalamazoo, Michigan has signed a contract with Tyler Technologies Inc. Tyler will provide services, training and support to implement Kalamazoo's financials, payroll and citizen services. The total value of the contract is more than $1.0 million.

Duane Hettinger, the city's Director of Information Technology, said, "The City of Kalamazoo's business process owners (division managers) unanimously selected Tyler Technologies' EDEN division as our ERP vendor of choice. Tyler's software functionality, vendor qualities, stability, costs, and technical architecture made it a clear choice for EDEN software to be at the top of our selection list."

The city will also benefit from the openness and flexibility of Tyler's EDEN technology, including seamless integration with the city's asset management tools. "We look forward to implementing our powerful EDEN software system to meet the city of Kalamazoo's growing needs," commented Jeff Green, President of Tyler's EDEN division. "Tyler's products will improve the city's information management processes, and will increase the services and transaction options for citizens, including new e-government capabilities."
