Local Government Innovation Award Nominations Open

March 15 submission deadline

The Innovation Groups announced the J. Robert Havlick Outstanding Achievement in Innovation Award to recognize a public or private product applied within the local government marketplace. One local government, its internal champion(s) and the product will be acknowledged as the Outstanding Achievement in Innovation.

The product can be an item patented by the local government or an individual. Examples include software technology, tool, or equipment. It should demonstrate one or more of the following:
  • How it successfully addressed an important dilemma of public service delivery concerns
  • How it has had a positive impact and tremendous benefit to the community or jurisdiction
  • A quantum leap of creativity
  • The government's commitment and support of bringing the product to life
  • Service delivery improvements and/or efficiencies
  • Organizational improvement because of the product
  • Tangible effectiveness and results.
