Maine Implements Integrated Public Health Information System

Will support Web-based public communication and data exchange

The Maine Bureau of Health has selected GovConnect to provide contract monitoring and quality assurance consulting services related to the implementation of the Maine Integrated Public Health Information System (IPHIS).

IPHIS is an integrated information system that will support real-time, Web-based public health communication and data exchange. The funding for IPHIS is provided through the Federal Public Health Emergency Preparedness program. The system will provide a seamless interface to secure two-way communications with health-care providers as well as timely data and analysis tools for health planning, operations and evaluation. IPHIS will feed a public health data warehouse for data to state agencies, community partners, private health-care providers and the public.

GovConnect's portion of the project includes all of the activities required to procure and select a qualified vendor to design, develop and implement IPHIS.
