Montgomery County, Md., Human Resources Office Launches Online Application for Police Jobs

Montgomery County's Office of Human Resources this week announced that potential law enforcement candidates can now apply for positions online.

TheMontgomery County Police Department is one of two Washington, D.C., metropolitan area police departments that provide an online application.

The police department receives nearly 2,000 applications and hires between 60 and 70 officers each year. The integration of the police department employment application with the county's Web-based recruitment management system is expected to increase the efficiency of hiring, help the county attract the most qualified and competent candidates and reach beyond their regional borders.
