My Neighborhood Application

New York City launches new application to pull together data from 23 city agencies and organize the content

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) released its "My Neighborhood" Web application that pulls together data from 23 city agencies and organizes the content into theme categories. The user enters in an address, and a map is displayed with various city facilities available in the neighborhood.

"With the My Neighborhood interactive map, New Yorkers can finally find all the city services in their neighborhood," New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said in announcing the launch of the service.

The concept of the application is to give users an easy-to-use application while delivering a wide range of relevant information. The application and the facility data are the result of the continued partnership between DoITT and other city agencies.
