New Hampshire Governor Announces RFP for Computer Software

Enterprise resource planning software will improve efficiencies

In an effort to make the state government of New Hampshire more efficient, Gov. Craig Benson and Commissioner of Administrative Services Don Hill issued a request for proposals (RFP) for an enterprise resource planning (ERP) computer software system. ERP software has the capability of organizing projects and tracking deliverables, budgets, tasks, changes and other issues associated with each project from a central location.

The addition of ERP software will allow the state to maximize resources in an efficient and cost-effective manner. When fully implemented, the system will provide integrated financial and human resource information to all state agencies, allowing the state to accomplish more with lower administrative costs.

Bids are actively being sought by the Department of Administrative Services, the lead agency on the project, and vendor selection is projected for June 2004. Implementation of this project will begin in July 2004, span over one year, and involve staff from all state agencies.
