New Hampshire to Launch e-Info Library Services

To eliminate production of paper reports by state agencies

New Hampshire Gov. Craig Benson and Commissioner Don Hill of the Department of Administrative Services announced Tuesday the launch of the state's new electronic reporting system. E-Library Services will eliminate the production of paper reports by state agencies. "I have made a commitment to bring New Hampshire state government into the modern computerized era," said Gov. Benson. "I am pleased that Commissioner Don Hill, and the Department of Administrative Services have moved to electronic reporting. This new computerized system will provide for a more efficient and cost-effective government."

E-Info Library Services will store reports electronically. Designed in partnership with the Secretary of State Records Management & Archives Division and in consultation with the Legislative Budget Assistant's Office, it will enable viewing all agency reports that are generated by the state's budget, financial and human resource computer systems. All such reports will be viewable in a Web browser by authorized users. The e-Info Library Services will be an official State Archive repository, no longer requiring agencies to archive their own paper copies.

The new reporting system is scheduled to begin on December 1, 2003.
