We're taking the touch-screen voting machines to all our citizens so they can see and use the new machines before the general election on November 7," Clark said. "If you are a voter and would like to try the new machines before Election Day, just drop by your local library on October 27."
Clark's office held a "Bank Visit Day" in 20 banks across the state in August and "College Student Voting Day" last month at all state two-year and four-year colleges in a similar effort to promote the touch-screen voting machines.
To date, Clark's Touch & Vote Mississippi program has visited 79 counties and conducted approximately 1,000 events from church socials to fish fries to senior citizens meetings to training events for election officials. The program received bipartisan praise at a recent Legislative Budget Committee hearing.
