New Web Site Targets Sex Offenders

Some of the UK's most prolific and dangerous sex offenders will be displayed on new child exploitation and online protection site

A new website has been established listing the UK's most wanted child sex offenders.

Set up by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre at www.ceop.gov.uk/wanted, the new site has been established to garner information on some of the UK's most prolific and dangerous sex offenders.

At present five men are listed on the site. These are Colin Dalgleish, Paul Turner (also known as Paul Geddes or Francis), Alexander Gordon Stewart, P Joshua Karney and Kamil Krawiec, complete with photographs, a physical description and background information.

The men are not being hunted for unsolved offences, but have failed to comply with legal restrictions imposed on them following their release and have since disappeared off the radar.

Jim Gamble, chief executive of the CEOP Centre, said: 'The success of the Crimestoppers website in gaining the support of the public to help track the UK's most wanted criminals is unprecedented here in the UK. Now we need to move a lot of that success towards protecting children and safeguarding communities from harm.
