Description: Sealed proposals will be received by the Ohio Turnpike Commission until 10:00 A.M. (E.S.T.), 4/2/2002, for one or more Contracts for coin-operated pay phones and pay phone service at the Commission's sixteen (16) service plazas, thirty-one (31) toll plazas, eight (8) maintenance faculties and one (1) Ohio State Highway Patrol Post. Prospective Bidders may obtain the proposal documents upon request and without charge, in the office of the Commission's Purchasing Agent, Ohio Turnpike Commission Administration Building, 682 Prospect Street, Berea, Ohio 44017, Telephone (440) 234-2081. For proposal and contract purposes, the Commission's facilities have been grouped geographically. Bidders may submit proposals for coin-operated pay phones and pay phone services for one group or any combination of groups. Each proposal submitted shall specify the monthly percentage rate which the Bidder shall pay the Commission for the operation of coin-operated pay phones and pay phone services further detailed herein. All proposals must be on the form prescribed by the Commission, must comply with the terms and conditions of the bidding documents and must contain the appropriate proposal security. Sealed proposals must be received on or before 10:00 A.M. (E.S.T.) 4/2/2002, in the offices of the Ohio Turnpike Commission, 682 Prospect Street, Berea, Ohio 44017. At said hour all proposals will be publicly opened and read. The award of any Contract or Contracts, if any award be made, will be to the Bidder or Bidders whose proposal or proposals, shall be determined by the Commission to be the most responsive and responsible of those received. In making such determination, the Commission will consider the Bidder's qualifications, including experience and reputation, and all other relevant matters. The Commission reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and the right to waive technicalities. The award or awards, if any Contracts shall be awarded, will be made within sixty (60) days after the receipt of bids.
