Pennsylvania Attorney General's Web Site Named "2006 Best Government Site"

Aggressive use of the Internet as an information and communications platform

Pennsylvania Attorney General Tom Corbett this week announced that the Web site for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General has been honored for its innovative and effective design, earning "2006 Best Government Web Site" and "2006 All-Star" awards from an Internet software company.

The awards follow a major project to update and enhance the Attorney General's Web site, making the site more informative and more user-friendly. Ektron Inc. analysts praised the Attorney General's site for its aggressive use of the Internet as an information and communications platform, adding that the site "sets a high bar for law enforcement and government agencies to follow if they're seeking new ways to keep their citizens informed."

A total of 16 Web sites were recognized as "2006 All-Stars," representing categories such as best government site, best education site and best public service site.
