The international awards program recognizes organizations whose use of information technology has been especially noteworthy for originality of conception, breadth of vision and significant benefit to society.
Labor & Industrywas recognized for exemplary interagency cooperation and vision in establishing its Enterprise Identity and Access Management Project. This project will provide consistent security across state agencies, improved self-service, user privacy and enhanced usability for over 30,000 commonwealth employees, more than 250,000 businesses and two million public users of two online systems being developed.
The Department of Public Welfare was recognized for its Directors' Dashboard, which helps county Bureau of Child Support officials quickly and easily identify how to allocate limited staff resources cost-effectively and to continue providing support services for all of Pennsylvania's children and families.
The Department of Public Welfare was also recognized for its PACSES Homepage Portal, a public, self-service Internet portal designed to help state and county workers do business.
