Paul Didzerekis, chairman of the Technology Committee, has been working to make these documents available to the public. "Not only is it possible for the public to get this information in a convenient and expeditious manner over the internet, but it also saves the county time and money," he said.
The DuPage County Building Code is the most recent addition to the web site joining the Zoning Ordinance and the Stormwater Ordinance located under the Department of Development and Environmental Concerns. Didzerekis explained that interested persons can determine what type of building permit they may need, what procedures to follow to submit a permit, and which permit forms they may need when they visit the site. There is also a list of permit fees and staff to contact for further information. All forms are available for downloading in PDF format.
The County's Stormwater Ordinance has been available online for a longer period of time. The types of ordinances, submittal information and checklists are available for those who need to obtain this information.
General information is also available about the DuPage County Zoning Ordinance. The web site provides the answers to questions about procedures, regulations, permits and appeals. Ordinances and permit forms are available to download and submit via the mail. With a permit tracking number, it is also possible to track the status of permits that have already been submitted.
