Phoenix Parks and Recreation Launching Internet Class Registration

For the first time ever, the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is offering Internet registration for its extensive offerings of recreational classes and programs

For the first time ever, the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is offering Internet registration for its extensive offerings of recreational classes and programs. The new system, Parks and Recreation Online (PRO), gives participants a convenient, one-stop online shop to view every department class and program offering and to register with any major credit card. The system will be up and running for registration for all of the department's summer programs.

Through PRO, residents can search the full schedule of citywide community center classes, PAC after-school and summer programs, swim classes, and specialty arts and museum programming. Users can search for classes by topic or by facility.

Registration dates for individual center classes and programs vary. The first registration date for a summer program is April 8. Registration dates for other summer session programs and classes are staggered throughout April and May.

Participants still can register for programs in person when registration periods begin. Credit cards can not be used for in-person registration. The Internet and in-person registration periods begin at the same time and there is no advantage to registering in person. Residents can e-mail questions to Parks and Recreation.
