The 56 Contracting Squadron, Luke AFB, AZ intends to issue a sole source award to Cox Communications for relocating the existing cable lines from the overhead power poles to a new location, buried underground. The Government intends to acquire this using commercial service using FAR Part 12 and intends to place the purchase order pursuant to FAR Part 13.106-1(b), which allows for the acquisition of services determined to be reasonably available from only one source. Qualified Communications firms have 5 days from the publication to identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Request for Written Quotation will not be issued.
