Reno Web Site Wins Two Awards

Some of the new Web site features are RSS feeds, online videos, searchable calendars, and page forwarding tools.

The City of Reno Web site earned awards from the International Academy of Visual Arts and the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals.

The Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals announced last week that the Reno Web site received its MarCom Gold Award in their 2007 international competition. MarCom Awards recognize outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals.

This award comes on the heels of the announcement by the International Academy of the Visual Arts that the Reno Web site was named a winner of the W3 Silver Award in mid-October. The W3 Awards honor creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning Web sites, web video and online marketing programs.

The new Reno Web site was launched in July 2007 to better communicate with citizens and visitors and to implement interactive online technologies. Some of the new Web site features are RSS feeds, online videos, searchable calendars, and page forwarding tools.
