Stockholm Challenge Awards to be Given in January
Competition features IT projects from around the world.
Stockholm's international information technology prize is to be awarded for the sixth time and interest is now record high. Almost 900 projects were entered for the Stockholm Challenge Award 2003/2004, and of these 694 have gone on to be assessed by the jury. The projects come from 107 countries around the world and together they form a stunningly innovative set of examples of IT's many uses. As always, the greatest importance is placed on a project's significance for users, society and the environment -- the focus is the benefits, not the technology!
"We regard this year's good result as an acknowledgement that the Stockholm Challenge Award is on the right track," said programme director Monica Bernestr
