Commenting following the launch of the document John Higgins, Intellect's Director General said:

We maintain our commitment to this goal, and our members consider the IT Strategy to be an intelligent and positive next step which will ensure that the pace of reform is maintained."
In response to the IT Strategy Intellect announced the creation of a new Public Sector Council. The Council has been developed to further strengthen suppliers relationship with government customers. It will provide a forum through which the supplier community can discuss and disseminate industry views on a range of public sector issues and developments and, importantly, work closely with the e-Government Unit to implement the Supplier Management aspect of the Strategy.
